Introduction to Unified Account
What is a Unified Account?
Unified account is a brand-new trading system launched by OKX, through which users can trade spot and derivatives simultaneously in multiple currencies by one account without transfer funds back and forth between multiple accounts, making the trading process much easier. Moreover, users’ profits and losses generated from different business lines can offset each other, significantly improving the use of funds. The unified account includes four new account modes: Spot, Spot and futures, Multi-currency margin and Portfolio margin, which can meet the diverse needs of all users. The following is a detailed introduction of the four account modes:

How to set up account mode?
Users can select account mode in the "Settings"-"Account mode". If there are any pending orders or positions in the current account, the mode cannot be switched until all pending orders are cancelled and all positions are closed. If the selected account mode has not been activated, users need to finish relevant steps such as taking a quiz to activate the mode.
After logging in to the sub-account, users can set up the account mode of sub-account separately. Users who have multiple sub-accounts can go to the sub-account management page to set the account mode after logging in to their master accounts. The types of account modes that can be set for all master and sub accounts are the same, and different modes can be set for different sub accounts.
